Clearing Up Confusion

a couple of people have wondered why ken left for qatar if we had orders to alaska.

he is going to be gone for about 4.5 months. he will return just in time (hopefully) for us to pack up the house and then leave for alaska. we still have not heard whether or not his extended date is approved. it would be ideal if it were, so that we are not so rushed right when he's walking through the door.

he called last night from qatar. i think he said it was about 16 hours on the planes, not including layover times. he sounded good. i pray this deployment is easier than last year's. it was rough on all 4 of us.
